Source on how the stuff on the Martian ruins and aliens in B3Y is actually reused from the original script for episode 26 of the TV series. It was removed due to a lack of runtime. Oshii's original intention for the Patlabor 1 ending was for it to turn out that Hoba had died as a child meaning that the culprit was a total mystery. This was to be because the culprit was actually literally Jehovah, as in god.
